The ParcelRegistry National Cadastral Platform was established to provide open, unencumbered public access to the decentralized records maintained by over 3,100 county property appraisers, tax assessors, and GIS departments across the United States.
In the United States, property taxation funds critical public services: local school districts, fire safety, emergency response, and municipal infrastructure. However, property tax assessment rules vary wildly across state lines. In many jurisdictions, statutory homestead caps create massive divergence between fair market value and taxable assessed value—leading to severe "Tax Shocks" when a home transfers to a new buyer.
Every parcel within our 152+ million record repository is ingested directly from certified open government data portals, county geographic information systems (GIS), and official property appraiser rolls under open record laws and the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). We apply zero synthetic estimation: all valuations, land areas, and parcel boundaries represent official public record.
While cadastral property ownership is a matter of statutory public record, our automated ingestion engine applies strict privacy rules: private individual owners have their personal names redacted from search index pages, while commercial entities, corporate holding companies, and institutional trusts remain fully unmasked for public accountability.
